Job Responsibilities: GENERAL FUNCTION: CertainTeed Corporation is recruiting an experienced Lean - Continuous Improvement Facilitator for the Jackson, Michigan Siding Manufacturing Facility. This position is a key member in leading cross functional teams in implementing lean concepts. Candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen training classes - driving continuous improvement throughout cross functional areas. Strong candidate must possess the skills and abilities to lead and to provide a history of successful team based projects. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: . Coordinate improvements in developing and continually improving processes in a Lean work environment. . Partner with the Plant Manager, Supervisors, and Quality Manager to ensure that new or revised Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are understood and implemented. Assists managers with the training of new and revised SOPs. Conducts periodic internal process audits within the facility as well as at other CertainTeed Saint-Gobain locations. Participates in the weekly quality council meeting. . Assist in the identification of improvement opportunities through the use of pivot table analysis and other sources of information. Participates in company process improvement initiatives as a trainer and facilitator. . Partners with the HR Manager and Plant Manager to identify training and development needs for the employees of the facility. Develops and facilitates training programs through various methods including on-the-job, formal and informal classroom cross-training and orientation programs. Determine the most effective methods for presentation, design supplemental training materials and deliver training. Promotes technical training processes to standardize excellence, product quality and customer satisfaction and employee involvement. . Conducts programs and assess effectiveness. Maintains organized training records. Evaluates employee-training participants and make recommendations to improve effectiveness. SKILLS/ABILITIES: . Good analytical and problem solving skills . Must have good verbal and written communication skills. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: .
